  • Promote global membership growth by recruiting new members and retaining existing ones.

  • Review and approve membership applications in accordance with society bylaws.

  • Develop strategies to enhance member benefits and engagement, including special initiatives for trainees and early-career scientists.

  • Maintain an updated membership database and analyze demographic trends to guide outreach.

  • Coordinate with the Communication Committee to highlight member contributions and improve visibility.

  • Establish and maintain award criteria in line with ISIR’s mission and values.
  • Review nominations and applications for all ISIR awards, including the JRI,  New Investigator  and travel awards.
  • Evaluate candidates using standardized scoring sheets and selection guidelines. Ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process.
  • Coordinate with the ISIR Executive Council to confirm final awardees. Communicate award decisions to recipients and relevant committees.
  • Oversee presentation of awards during the ISIR Congress or official events.
  • Periodically review award processes to improve efficiency and inclusivity.

  • Conduct periodic review of the ISIR bylaws to ensure relevance, clarity, and alignment with the society’s mission and evolving needs.

  • Propose amendments to the bylaws and facilitate discussion among the council and membership.

  • Ensure compliance with international standards for non-profit and scientific organizations.

  • Solicit feedback from ISIR leadership and membership regarding proposed bylaw changes.

  • Present finalized revisions to the General Assembly for discussion and ratification as required.
